Round 1 Game 2: Rev2 London v Mysticum Aristarch is on tonight ...
Just to make sure the times are correct it's in 5 hours time, it's now 15:00 here.
Cheers,
Al.
If you have time to play now, I could get a game in. Say 16.00 UK time?
Thanks

Here is the game between Revelation II London and Resurrection Ruffian:

Afterwards analyzing this position, Ruffians best chance to win this game with its pawn superiority might have been by playing 50. ... Qe4+. Taking the a4 pawn was too tempting though and after playing 50. ... Qxa4 the draw seemed a certainty. Perhaps playing f6 on a couple of occasions and giving up that pawn might have done the trick. But the position was really much too difficult and London defended well.

Yes a great game, but I can't help looking back at that awful move 20. Qb5 Whites eval went from +0.50 to -0.40, allowing Blacks Rook into the game with tempo to swing over to the King side.
39. Rd2 is also awful, allowing Qc3, but luckily Black played Re8 instead.
It looks as though 60.....b4 throws away the win, as you said f6 here seems the right move.
Cheers,
Al

Hi all,
Well it couldn't last, I couldn't keep clawing a draw from a lost position, the Rev 2 playing White got smashed in 26 moves by the Mysticum in a weird opening:

Here white played 19.Bxa7 this move leads to a lot of tactics for black. After this move it start a direct attack to the white king and as scally show me during the game The white KB and KR were never developed. I have never seen this variation of the sicilian maybe because it comes quite quickly in a very turbulent position.
turbulent position regards
Ricardo
