Well...we have been known to duke it out pretty good in the past although we never came to actual fisticuffs

MCGE draws first blood on resumption. As the ratings indicate, these two computers are closely matched.I wouldn't be surprised to see the R30, on the basis of previous games between these two, coming out of this match tied. But after 13 games the MCGE leads 7.5-5.5.Regards Steve C.

This now makes the score 8.5-8.5,I wasn't being psychic in my last post by saying it wouldn't surprise me to see these two draw the match. In my opinion these two machines have provided more of the cut and thrust encounters.Regards Steve C

That's it folks, the two highest rated dedicated computers have just finished a 20 game match which has finished 10-10.The three 20 game matches that I have posted, all 40 in 2,should give a better idea of these computers strengths and weaknesses. Regards Steve C

So I would suggest you all rush out and buy the newest sensation on the dedicated chess computer market, namely the R39, excuse the typo.

Top Fligt Match

Thank you for sharing this excellent match with us. The R30 and MCGE are two of my favorite dedicated chess computers and it is good to see that at 40/2 they are roughly equal in spite of the MCGE running at 300mhz.

A pleasure Dave, glad you enjoyed it,I am not familiar with the Mysticum Aristarch computer, but I thought this was the highest calibre dedicated computer match I have played, that being said, from the performance so far of the MCKing programme in the high performer tournament, it does seem like it may be stronger than my dedicateds, other than the Rev 2.I am sure it will still make for a fascinating match against them.Regards Steve C.
