Fidelity Avant Garde 2265 on ebay
https://www.ebay.com.au/itm/Chess-Elect ... 1438.l2649
Someone posted, I think on this forum, about an EAG minus the
original pieces. I'm suspecting this is the same machine, therefore the
same poster. I am tempted. Slight downsides are no original box and
sun spots on the light colored home squares. I do trust the seller, and
the price is about what I'd ask. The
cash exchange rate makes USA purchases a bit painful for us people.
I used to be indecisive, but now I'm not so sure....
Hand hovering over the mouse regards...

I notice on the baseplate the model is "6114".
On looking at https://www.schach-computer.info/wiki/i ... _Versionen
I see only a model "6114-1" What's the difference between the two?
Steve...?...anyone...?

6114-1 was the model number for an EAG that did not have the learning feature and was NEVER released for sale .They do appear on price lists(as other Fidelity products do that were never released)Larry wrote:I notice on the baseplate the model is "6114".

Ended
Larry - looks like the seller ended the listing a day early because of an "error in the listing", a common reason giving when accepting an offer outside of ebay.
Yes the price seemed reasonable. Hopefully another Fidelity Elite AG will appear on ebay soon.

Humm... while the displays appear to be working I am a little concerned about the "untested" comment, however, I think EAGs are fairly durable.
The 2100 is an 8 bit CPU. I found this on the schach-computer site, "... in 1986 the Fidelity Elite Avantgarde 2100 (6088), which included a slightly revised Par Excellence program with a larger library (28,000 half-bins )."
Good luck,
Dave
