Steve - how were you added to their email list? I can't find any links to "register" on their website.

Happy Holidays!

Hi Steve,
Steve B wrote:hopefully i was not the only winner of the drawing but i received the Limited Edition Xmas chess set today
you are not the only one - I got #2/50.... 8)
Steve B wrote:very nice set with black and white pieces covered in a felt(velvet) like material
as i said before its very refreshing to deal with a company that cares about its customers (unlike another company where you have to beg them for info on updates and beg them to take your money)
Absolutely right Regards, Michael

I received today the velvet chess set, number 42/50. When Millennium said a Christmas themed set I was imagining perhaps Santa Claus for the King, Elves for the pawns etc. But I am not being ungrateful for receiving a new set of velvet pieces, thank you Millennium!

Soft Touch Regards

Hi all,

They sent me the latest firmware and new books, so they have my details.
I guess I was unlucky 😥

Cheers,

Al.

I got number 9/50 today.

Feels strange in the hands when playing with it.
Or ?
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.

remember ..with a piece recognition board...if one piece goes bad you cant play a game

I emailed Millennium asking about piece recognition reliability and based on their feedback decided to hold on buying another set until the New Year when I might have some spare cash. Apparently, the expected life span of the recognition chips is 20 to 30 years. However, for one Black Knight it was only two games

Searching for another piggybank Regards

not sure I understand this...
are you saying that you already have a defective Knight that the board wont recognize??

if so...why not contact Millennium and inform them that you just bought the computer and there is one defective piece.. I bet they will send you the Knight for free

Nothing To Lose Regards

When ever you feel down in the dumps due to your weak chess play...
a draw against a 2400 rated opponent will go a long way to lift your spirits

load up your MCGE with the Gambit book
5 min blitz
take the black pieces and let it play the Sicilian Wing Gambit

[Date "2018.3.3"]
[White "MCGE-GAMBIT BOOK"]
[Black "Steve B"]
[TimeControl "5 Min. Blitz"]
[Result "1/2-1/2"]

1.e4 c5 2.b4 cxb4 3.a3 bxa3 4.d4 d6 5.Nc3 e6 6.Bxa3 g6 7.Nf3 Bg7 8.Nb5
Bf8 9.Nc3 Bg7 10.Nb5 Bf8 11.Nc3 1/2-1/2

[fen]rnbqkbnr/pp3p1p/3pp1p1/8/3PP3/B1N2N2/2P2PPP/R2QKB1R b KQkq - 0 11[/fen]

Finally Reached Master Strength Regards
