Database in HIARCS Palm to Fritz10

Post by Sso »

I'm very new to both HIARCS Palm (TX) and Fritz10, so I'd very much appreciate if anyone could kindly help me with the following question:

I like using the HIARCS Palm when I'm reading a chess book and use the Set Up Position to work out chess problems. Afterwards I save the Set Up games, and I have quite a bit of these in the Palm database.

Now, what is the simplest and easiest way to transfer these saved games over to the Fritz10 that I have in my laptop? There should be a simple way to do it, but I don't know how to. If any of you could help, thank you in advance!!

You need to export them as PGN to the memo pad.

Do a hotsync to get the memo pad entries onto the desktop machine.

Start the Palm Desktop application and open the memo pad.

Copy and paste the games into a new Fritz game notation window and save as required. Repeat for each game you want.

If you are comfortable running a simple Perl program in the command line (sounds harder than it is), I can recommend the program bij Bob Newell that can take care of all your games in the database to be exported at once:
