Good to hear that Theo could make it Harvey!

A pity that HIARCS did not play its strongest tournament but maybe the tournament was too short. Harvey did you have to eat patat without mayo or was it just tomato juice and strong coffee for you today? What did you do last night Confused

Last night Richard Pijl and I had Dinner together followed by Irish Coffee, Coffee and Brandy, and then Famous Grouse.

As far as I'm concerned it was a strong tournament by Hiarcs as it beat CTD/theBaron for the first time in Leiden Wink

It is still a pity they didn't let us finish the bottle Cool

My trip was as safe as I could have hoped for. I'm currently finishing a bottle of Grant's that I left behind when I drove to the tournament. I guess there was a similar amount left in that one too.
Don't forget to rise early tomorrow, and don't hunk the horn when crossing the Belgian border as you might wake me up Smile
Richard.

lukas as a medical man you know all about what is available in holland, could you now wake the hiarcs team up and carefully explain that they have only 25 hours left to make the first move.spaced out as they are time has no meaning.its ironic that the rybka players have to pull the Hiarcs team out of there drug induced fantasy of beating Rybka.

It just shows that Tzjezz is in the same league as POS or CPP1..

I have so many games from POS and CPP1 that are less than 14ply..

Wow Surprised If Jeroen had a red afro he would look just like Ronald Mcdonald Exclamation Harvey looks just like my best friends father(a very cool dude) and Gian-Carlo looks like he needed a note from his mom so he could skip school in order to attend Very Happy

As you can also see from the other pictures on this site, some people switch from the modern programs to the oldtimers.
My daughter came to the tournament to help me to operate my program, but she ended up helping Hans in the oldies tournament and playing against Hein's new phantom machine. Now she wants one too ...
Richard.

so thats the charming little girl in the photos playing against Ruud,Rob, Hans and Hein?

i can see she is very smart because she automatically gravitated to the main event(dedicated computers) rather then the minor event(PC engines)
Razz

Best Regards

Jeroen is also a dedicated chess computer collector and enthusiast
heres a photo from my website taken in 1990 of a younger Jeroen when he was the opening book author for Richard Langs programs in the Mephisto computers

here he is operating the Mephisto Portorose module against former World Champion Karpov in a simultaneous exhibition
IIRC the game was drawn(but i am not 100% certain)

It All Started With Dedicated Computers Regards
