IIRC the game was drawn(but i am not 100% certain)

i emailed Jeroen to ask if he drew that game and here is his reply
Karpov lost the game, after I offered him a draw in Russian. That was clearly against etiquette (he was winning a few moves before I offered him the draw), but it had a surprising result: he immediately blundered and lost the game.
we can see from this that Jeroen is a very fierce competitor and we must be very careful against the Fishkas in our Forum match
Brutal Regards

the originally released versions are EXACTLY the same
i have an originally released Magellan and Atlanta
that play exactly the same moves in the same exact times (brute force or selective search)
and of course Hallsworth correctly shows them as the same with a rating of 2223
there was a long thread about this back in November where i showed this
i guess the .info guys have Atlantas and Magellans which had revisions subsequent to original release and perhaps there are differences that crop up then

This issue will never die regards

Cheers Steve, I'd forgotten that thread.
Unusual step to make the later revisions play worse!? I kicked myself for ages for not buying the last Magellan that Eric had, now I don't feel so bad about it! |

Pictures from these events are always nice. Chessbase used to do this a lot until their products stopped being competitive. |

Actually, Dylan Sharp, your captain in the past and at the beginning here, was nice enough to design it and I believe that Harvey made it my default avatar. I have actually never placed my own avatar here. If I was to choose one, I'd probably either choose that one or the one showing me finishing the 2005 Charlottesville 10 Miler in a heavy thunderstorm. |

| Oh, yes, it's probably more of a hobby of mine than chess. In fact, tomorrow I leave for the northeast for this race, where I hope to finish in the top 30 (though I probably won't due to lack of time lately for training). We'll see... |
