Hello to everybody

Post by Matthias Gemuh »

This is just to say hi, and that though I am sort of a newbie here (have occasionally looked in but never registered), I am not new to computer chess.
In fact I even have free jewels you can try out: BigLion and ChessGUI  .
I think BigLion is weaker than 3000 Elo, so no match for Rybka, Hiarcs, etc
There is also beatable ArcBishop for 10x8 chess fans.
I particularly appreciate feedback about ChessGUI !

Now I'll go look around here.

Cheers,
Matthias.

Hi Fernando,
I still hope to win you for ChessGUI. Slobodan and Roger had similar problems with the GUI like you. Now Roger has overcome the difficulties and is now exploring deeper.
But frankly, I have so far concentrated on engine-engine issues.
It is later that humans shall really feel blessed.
Best,
Matthias.

Thanks Gerold. :) It seems to be quite popular. Of course its not as popular as some other polls we have had.

You know something Gerold? We were and might still include the other 3 moderators because there are 6 really. 3 you were not offered any chance to elect. I wonder if the members there like you approve of the fact that decisions are made by unelected people. Having said that, the elected ones are not very good. The 3 other ones are all nice people. If you look in the Tournament Forum in that place however, you can see one getting "fruity". It is little wonder he is embarrassed and petulant when he was "discovered" by us. I wonder if the forum owner knows?

Anyway I don't want to write any more about it here as it's not the right place. You can PM me if you would like to know more detail on the CCC politburo.

:D
