Back from Brazil
As per usual my vacation was far too short and now it's back work , but the sad smiley is easily replaced with a as soon as I start thinking about Novag Citrine that I am eagerly looking forward to receiving thanks to Hiarcs, Countrywide Computers, Harvey Williamson, Mark Uniacke and of course Steve .
But even while I was in Brazil on vacation, I could not resist picking up a couple of items:
and these chess pieces which according to the person I bought them from were locally hand made in Sao Paulo. They are the biggest magnetic chess pieces that I have ever seen and the magnets are super powerful. So I could not resist buying them. To try to give you an appreciation of the size here they are on a Muenchen board and they are super responsive.
And here is a closeup:
Best regards to everyone

Hi José,
http://www.flickr.com/photos/10261668@N ... 923814103/
and here is a French ad from 1983 :
And I think that there was a second computer names "L'Empereur" but let's wait for Steve to give us more details.
The bad story is that I find last year the email of a previous marketing director of CLJ... but he never answered my email
best regards,
Alain
here is a link in Steve's album :Jose wrote:Which one is this?

it makes me very sad that all this time the TSBIV La Regence is in my photos and i see you never once looked into it..there are 10 photos of this computer in the Applied Concepts album
this only shows me that no one is looking in my collection
i think i will delete all 1300 photos at once
i will make a post about the La Regence this weekend
i used to also have the Le Emperour but sadly i was forced to trade it away.. against my will
i still have some photos of it and i will post those as well
as far as i know i am the only known owner of the TSBIV and the collector i gave the Le Emperour to(under duress) is the only known owner of that computer
Sad and Under Duress Regards
Steve

For sure i looked ALL your computers, but you have so much - i forgot some from time to time. And some of them i never saw before, so to recognize - it´s difficult for my small empty brain.
I am sure you would not do this - but if, i will visit you .Steve B wrote: this only shows me that no one is looking in my collection

And here Jose is another photo that i am sure you have not looked at either
from the Printed Materials Album..
a rare photo of the TSBIV competing against the even rarer Omikron Bogol 5.0
the Bogol was the only chess computer ever sold with the squares reversed by mistake
the lower right hand corner has a dark square instead of a white square
the Bogol is in the bottom of the photo and the TSBIV is at the top
Three Rarest Computers Ever Released For Sale Regards

look at the position of the pieces
but its true...the photo is not very good
the time i took this photo was back in 1982 and in those days cameras were not very good
here is an even better photo of the Bogol 5.0
This Is The Stuff Legends Are Made From Regards
Steve
PS.and two games ..Bogol 5.0 against the Novag Savant(which can be downloaded for better viewing):
Yes i see the wrong positions of the squares?! It´s like the great mistake from Ron!
I never heard from Bogol 5.0, also not from V1.0 to 4.0
The second photo you post of the Bogol i can only see the wrong squares and a cable and a board! But you can not see that it is a chess COMPUTER!!??
Beut very, very intersting! You shot this photos?
Bogol Regards José
