Steve, does this mean you won this auction?Steve B wrote: We Shall See Regards

For me the picture was a bit fuzzy, but I thought I could see
what appeared a TurboStar432 with a light on every square.
If it was'nt for the box you could mistake it for a hybrid machine.

the manual is also the right one for the Syscis President
the seller said she couldn't test it due to only having the US adapter
im betting it dosent work but I have an expert repair technician waiting in the wings

Looks like its a dealer selling a new one rather than a private seller.
Still totally loving mine - got it setup near the kitchen - every time I boil the kettle to make tea, I bang out a quick blitz against one of the emulations - in the few weeks I've owned it, I've probably played more games with it than I have with my entire chess computer collection during the last decade. The combination of variety of engines and high-end pieces make it a perfect mix. Mine will never go to ebay!

not sure what the seller is talking about in the reference to one side working and the other notpr1uk wrote:

anyway...the asking price is Not So Silly
the real value is in the modules
we are not talking about the Standard A module here
I can make out the fairly rare opening book (LO)module ..the other module is probably an S4 running at 4 Mhz
but I cant make it out from the fuzzy photo
Squinting Regards
Steve
No i have owned a Conchess and the one side reference leaves me cold but the board is well known for reed problems. Now i understand if its the T8 module that was the last and i believe the best ever available upgrade for that board.Steve B wrote:not sure what the seller is talking about in the reference to one side working and the other notpr1uk wrote:

Well the Scisys President Chess arrivedSteve B wrote:Yes ..very rare indeedSargon1972 wrote:Hi Guys,
A rare bird here
http://www.ebay.de/itm/schachcomputer-S ... 43ca0f2f29
I am curious how high it will end
Kr,Hans
so rare in fact ...that it makes Steak Tartare Look like burnt hamburger meat
this is one of the 5 remaining chess computers that were released for sale that i am searching for
supposedly the President has the same auto-sensory move input as the
Scisys Mark V/VI when the auto-sensory board is attached
We Shall See Regards
Steve
it has the same exact auto-sensory playing board as the Scisys Mark V/VI(with Sensory board attached)
as expected it does not work
powers on OK ..but some of the squares do not recognize the pieces
AFAIK ..the auto-sensory board does not use standard reed switches..it uses magnets
the computer is now on the way to being repaired
Plan B In Effect Regards
Steve
