Well,That went rather well for The House, now they've pulled out a premiere...
Hopefully they will dig out a V8 next
there would be a bidding bloodbath the likes of which Ebay has never known

Going To The Mattresses Regards

Seems the House Of Staunton has posted their third auction
A Mephisto Exclusive Van 32

strangely the seller is not the HOS but a different sellers name and location...
the auction description pretty much uses the same exact wording and format as their previous two auctions(above)
could be just a copy and past job by a different seller I guess

Hmmm Regards

Hi

i posted about that auction in another thread
Well ..if you read my posts over the years about chess computer modifications you will know i am no fan of them
you would have to take out your existing EAG motherboard and replace it with this one
a dreadful thought.. that i would refuse to do ..even if facing down the nozzle of a double-barreled sawed-off shot gun

i can say this seller is well known for his modifications

Not My Cup Of Tea Regards

He doesn't seem to be 100% sure it's working properly.

If someone had a mint Tasc R30 to sell I would pay a lot of money for it.

In my experience, unless the seller posts pictures of the machine
working, then be wary. It's true that some problems can be fixed by
the home handyman, but some can't. Do you feel lucky?...

I echo these concerns
doesn't seem to be slowing down the bidders though
Bidding is frantic at over $1250 after one day of bidding..with no questions asked of the seller..

I guess some folks....

Hi

Maybe the ad has been updated as the last image shows the display working and Google translates the description as 'functional'.

There have been six questions but haven't been shared. The bidder doesn't haven't a history of high ticket sales though but 100% feedback.

Impressive bidding for a Germany only sale.

If you offered me the choice between a brand new Tasc R30 or the Revelation II brand new - I'd take the Tasc.

But if the choice was between a 20 year old Tasc and a brand new Revelation II...I think common sense would dictate it'd have to be the Revelation II.

Funny thing is if bidding goes on like this, the computer will be sold for its original price....
