I do not see that the market works.
Nobody will buy a modular for 250.
And nobody a saber for 350. And and and,
They are victims of Google. If they would use their brain instead of google,
They would find out the price much more precise.

Talking about the Novag Robot Adversary I have just finished a better writeup of the Robot on my website with photos, videos, games against the 2Robot and quite a few links including Berger's. Maybe there will be more working Novag Robot's around in the future?

There is a team of dealers on Ebay who exceed all expectations for ripping off Joe Public and his wife Blondie. Have you seen the prices on these?:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Excalibur-King- ... 20f3d09977

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Excalibur-King- ... 20f0da99f9

http://www.ebay.com/itm/Excalibur-911E- ... 20f0c06dca

http://www.ebay.com/itm/NEW-Excalibur-L ... 2a47205b35

It seems to be a Family gang. But hey who knows sell one of each a month and you won't have to work for a living!!

Best regards

I think that what's happening is that there is the general perception (among those who don't know anything about them) that all chess boards are collectors' items and that it's worth putting them on eBay at random inflated prices.

But actually, I haven't seen any of these things sell at these ridiculous prices. However, I do think that many quality boards eg. RS 2250xl, Novag Obsidian, etc. are getting higher prices than just a few months ago.

Yes we have to "thank"the collectors for this insane development.
Maybe we should speak about criminal behaviour here. Because WHO profits most from this ? the collectors.

So the people beeing in charge for the irreal prizes are the ones who profit from it because their collection increases in prize/value.

It's IMO time for making clear that this behaviour is not wished and that it is criminal. I will fight this behaviour wherever I see it. It's not funny anymore.

I have seen people demanding 380 euro for a stupid phantom force , who was once sold for 200 new, and it's not long time ago.
The explosion of prices is criminal. And it's mainly a result of collectors stupid bidding at ebay.

Time to build a task force against it.

I declare myself a neutral party in your self declared war on all collectors

I have never over paid for a cheap chess computer nor have I ever sold a chess computer
I always pay reasonable prices for moderate to high-end computers
I have only overpaid(grossly) for very rare chess computers

I write this message From Neutral territory...

Watching a simultano on ebay.
http://www.ebay.de/itm/Kasparov-SIMULTA ... 9991&rt=nc

Owner wants 250 .
Ridiculous.

We are close to storm the house and imprison the guy in Wuppertal.

For the simultano the seller ask 250 euros for the "buy it now" .... but the bidding is only a 30 Euros now... i think i will bid to 50 or 60 euros probably , but not sure....

Do you know if this machine is the successor of the Statos or turbo king ( as may be indicated in CCR.

best regards

There is a minimum prize set for this item. If the seller believes a simultano is worth 250 he maybe believes the minimum prize is 200 ;-)

The simultano has the maestro c program. Little weaker then D.
Turbo king can have d+ program. So this machine is definitely weaker.

Realistically 50-70 are a normal price. But 250 or anything above 100 is criminal .
Our task force will shut down this.
