Hey, collectors - a Fidelity Chess Challenger just appeared on eBay. This is the first model, complete with the ranks and files reversed! (How in the world could a company possibly release a computer with that serious and obvious an error? Didn't anybody there actually play a game on one before they went out the door?)
I put in a token bid, just to put it at the top of my eBay Summary so I can watch how bidding goes. The computer's definitely an oddity. Would anybody buy it to play it?

Actually the computer is historical ...
being the very first dedicated chess computer ever released for sale
aside from the missing box and the photo being upside down...this looks real....
