A bit on the rare side, although it has not been on my wish list so I haven't
taken much notice. A nice looking unit:

Hi,

some years ago I bought a ScySys Astral - by chance - I saw it on eBay and instantly I liked the design; as Michael said, "a nice mix of plastic and wood". A bit similar to the Kasparov Virtuoso which I also own.

Regards,
Michael

Peter
It will have some collector value. As for playing strength, it ranks
among the weakest ever chess computers.

I saw this when it came on eBay and was a little puzzled by the 'INFOLINK' sticker on it?

This has been mentioned before but on the UK ebay someone seems to be trying to manipulate the prices of chess computers. 'lovetobidmore' keeps 'selling' non-existent devices, today some went up for £500 with no photos. Previously they have done the same at around the 200 - 300 price point. They are also buying up chess computers and then selling them for twice the price (or more). I don't understand, why the non-existent £500 items?

It should be compulsory to provide at least one photo. I'm wondering if this
is the same seller that sometimes says "photos to follow".

Yes he always says photos coming but they never do. He always puts a single lower case letter at the start of the description, e.g. "b electronic Chess Computer".

What is to be gained from doing it, can it drive prices higher somehow?

When selling an actual existing chess computer it usually starts 'ideal gift'.
