This item has been removed from sale, even after I placed a bid.
Someone made a good offer to buy it now, but they should'nt be allowed
to do this after a bid has been placed.

I just can't help it - that Chess Genius continues to hit me as one of the most homely looking things. I'm not expecting much. I would have been happy if it had been something like the Pavilion Talking Chess that I have & that Ron Nelson mentioned as one of the last Excalibur boards & that was produced also for ToysRUs.

If there is a version 2, I wonder if it will be redesigned. I'd love to have a Lang board.

Over $1,100 US

the seller did not publish any questions he received but I am guessing it has the Sparc module in it or at least a strong Analyst module
Large Wooden Saitek boards do not go for this amount of money without an OSA module inside

Silent Correspondence Regards

I received additional pictures from the seller and there was no module in the Renaissance board. I was tempted to buy because the seller doesn't live very far from my home. I agree, the price seemed high for the beautiful wooden board without a strong module inside.

Opportunity missed...regards,

Perhaps Not Dave
if history is any guide...
once other sellers see what the board sold for there is a good chance that other boards will be coming out of the woodwork and will sell for somewhat less

lovetobidmore seems to think of a price and trebles it. The wonder is that he/she sells any chess computers at all. The SciSys Concord itself is a separate auction.

Actually the original Concord pieces may be unique. Metal and heavy for their size, probably lead. Worth a bit in the original box but not that much.

Lovetobidless regards

This is a bit of a puzzlement
a complete Fidelity EAS 4.0(4 Mhz ) in very good condition..and no takers
seller had to re-list it due to no bidders on the first go round
i remember not long ago ..any of the larger Fidelity wooden boards would sell like hot cakes for this price and more

http://www.ebay.com/itm/201531038180?_t ... EBIDX%3AIT

and just the other day a Moduleless Saitek Renaissance board sold for over a grand..which normally would not have sold for 1/2 that price

Hmmm Regards

Hi,

On 2): Some auctions give food to think that it pays to have "some good friends" on ebay...

1) I have here a 3 Mhz pre-Budapest, the current EAS on ebay (looks great btw) has 4 Mhz, one can find about everything from 3 over 3,2 to 3,6 and now 4..... I guess they build in 3 Mhz on mondays, 3.2 on tuesdays, etc...

INfidelity regards

Xavier
