His computers at times look very nice but they usually end up selling for 2300 US dollars maybe if it had 81 lights and a chance to connect to a PC I could change my mind. For that money I'll wait and buy the new Revelation that is coming. (rumors)

Running out of money regards

BREAKING NEWS!!! Rumors have been finally confirmed...A new Revelation is coming next year!!!

Hans is more wishful thinking than rumors. I thought Rudd was going to start selling emulations for the TASC, fidelity, etc.

Have a nice day regards

I thought the chassis of the modest Novag Alto was made of wood, not gold.

Originally the auction was for 500 euro, it went on for a month or so and then he changed it to a more affordable 400 euro.

BTW... is it wood ? The top ? Or it's wood-like plastic ?

ahahah :)

Yes, I know it can't be very strong (probably around 1300 elo) but in the pictures I saw the top really looks like wood.
I find it strange, since the bottom is plastic, but I saw many pictures of different units and the grain of the "wood" is different, so this would lead me to believe it's really wood.

Any owner here who can confirm ?

The official term is "simulated wood grain" I believe ;)

I had the Carnelian which came in a similar if not the same casing. It's not real wood. It's plastic. I'm sure the alto is plastic too.

Thank you for the info.
Yes the case looks practically identical.

I wonder even more why and how the grain in different units looks different though. Did they that on purpose ? Was a welcome side effect of the production process ?

They likely get the wood grain laminate in a big roll like wall paper and cut to size to fit their housing. So maybe even every unit is unique. Who knows? Looks like slightly different woodgrains are used over the years as well from those pictures.

Maybe it has got good vibrations?

Funny price for a board which seems to be in some way faulty. Ready for a new Master modder PCB ;)))

Hello Mike

please excuse my bad English. Can you tell me the source that has announced the Revelation III for 2018? Then I have to save even more vigorously :-) Thank you.
