Many of the suggestions in this thread have been implemented in the 1.series and more will appear in v1.6 soon.

Rather than allowing reopening of large databases automatically we allow you to with one menu item reopen all the previous session databases.

Inevitably not all features will be implemented but many are being considered for HCE releases in 2014.
Best wishes,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I don't know if my suggestion has already been made, but I'd love to get the engine's output stacked instead of having it replaced with newer ones, just like arena does for instance. Why ? Because it's always interesting to see how an engine's PV evolves, and starting from which depth it finds a specific move. Of course this apply for not multi-pv mode.

That is already possible!

When the engine is analysing please click the History and Statistics icon which looks like a coloured pie chart. The display then switches to an historical view of PVs and evaluations/depths etc and includes statisitcs about the engine's search progress.
Best wishes,
Mark

Book views from databases and filters can be done now in Opening Explorer (Source database and last search).

However user editable book creation is not likely to happen until the v2 series.
Best wishes,
Mark

Hi Mark,

I'd like to reiterate a previous request to add material balance piece icons to the display. Is it possible I'll see this in a future version? Thanks.

...2. DGT board support!...

...2) DGT support is on our todo list but we are waiting for Mac DGT driver...
Greetings Mark. Do you happen to have any updates on planned DGT board & clock support for HCE (Mac and PC versions)?

Thank you!

This may have been requested before, but I'd like an option in Engine Matches to disallow resignations by the computer (and possibly draws too). The computer might be able to see mate in 12 moves, but I sure can't.

Thanks

DGT support is something that I want to see in 2014 but it does require the necessary i/f drivers on Mac. I am in contact with DGT about this.

Being able to switch off auto adjudicate on engine matches is something we have on our todo list.

Downloading zip files via Open URL is not currently an option, not sure this is required. Normally someone visits a website offering a zipped PGN, they download and unzip and HCE is launched or the PGN is loaded (assuming HCE is the default app for handling PGNs on your computer).

Live PGNs are not zipped.
Best wishes,
Mark

A deep analysis features with user parameters as in Fritz or ChessOK Aquarium GUI but more complete than Fritz and easier than Aquarium IDeA would be great....
