Many of the suggestions in this thread have been implemented in the 1.series and more will appear in v1.6 soon.
Rather than allowing reopening of large databases automatically we allow you to with one menu item reopen all the previous session databases.
Inevitably not all features will be implemented but many are being considered for HCE releases in 2014.

Hi Mark,
I don't know if my suggestion has already been made, but I'd love to get the engine's output stacked instead of having it replaced with newer ones, just like arena does for instance. Why ? Because it's always interesting to see how an engine's PV evolves, and starting from which depth it finds a specific move. Of course this apply for not multi-pv mode.

Oh, very good! Thank you!Mark Uniacke wrote:That is already possible!
When the engine is analysing please click the History and Statistics icon which looks like a coloured pie chart. The display then switches to an historical view of PVs and evaluations/depths etc and includes statisitcs about the engine's search progress.

Greetings Mark. Do you happen to have any updates on planned DGT board & clock support for HCE (Mac and PC versions)?Mark Uniacke wrote:pwwaring wrote:Thanks for the great program, I find myself turning to HCE almost all the time now! A few things on my wish list for a future release , some of which have already been suggested - so just add my vote for those!
...2. DGT board support!...
...2) DGT support is on our todo list but we are waiting for Mac DGT driver...
Thank you!

DGT support is something that I want to see in 2014 but it does require the necessary i/f drivers on Mac. I am in contact with DGT about this.
Being able to switch off auto adjudicate on engine matches is something we have on our todo list.
Downloading zip files via Open URL is not currently an option, not sure this is required. Normally someone visits a website offering a zipped PGN, they download and unzip and HCE is launched or the PGN is loaded (assuming HCE is the default app for handling PGNs on your computer).
Live PGNs are not zipped.
