There has been a long debate about if mephisto milano pro is a clon of saitek masterchess; after this great last rating attempt here the results show that they are not clones. Probaby closed related.
SAITEK MASTER CHESS 68.5 85.63% 2569
MEPHISTO MILANO PRO 66.2 82.75% 2483

This is unheard of, two major national academies have been taken out of the scouting market in one fell swoop.

The Schroeder Academy zero Top 10 prospects and only 12 in the Top 100 Rivals Dot Com ranking. But Gus feels he needs to take some risks after the poor Auburn performances of last year and the firing of their previous Manager who only two years previously held the National Championship over his head. Well in-state pressure is high with the recent successes of their rich neighbors. Therefore taking a gamble is the name of the game for the Tigers or so it is being discussed in the local sports channels.
Gus however knows better, as he has received insider information that the Schroeder Academy is about to receive some last minute walk-ons from rich overseas sponsors.

Hi
I know that this whole thing about testing computers on particular games took place quite some time ago. Since I've been reading old posts in order to refresh my old knowledge and learn new things, I noticed a glaring oversight: the best program on game 1 seems to be the Mephisto Milano which is authored by Schroeder, NOT by Frans Borsch as stated. It scored 66%, better than Risc 1mb or some other Schroeder computers. I hope that people will realize this error.
The Milano Pro (forerunner of Saitek Master Chess) is Morsch. The original Milano is Schroder.

That's what I said, the Milano is the best program on that game test, but it is not by F. Morsch but by E. Schroder However, if you look up the best ranked programs by Schroeder listed in the thread you'll see no mention of the Milano -- that's the mistake I had in mind.

Thanks for replying, but I have to emphasise that both programs (Milano pro and Milano) are listed as authored by Morsch and are in the Morsch group of programs, meaning that the Milano (Schroeder) is not in the Schroeder programs even though the Milano would be placed first in the Schoreder group. I was quite aware of the fact that you stated, but wished to point out the above. It's not really important, must have been an oversight.
I'm sure you're right that it's an oversight. Nick knows as well as anyone which programmer is which. We've been waiting a long time for a final tally and/or link to the close of these long-running tests, but obviously it's a major task.

Yes, it was a typo of course. I will try and provide an update next weekend.
The most memorable character to me would have to be Alexander in Final Fantasy IX.The scene where the castle starts moving and fights Bahamut? Thats magic and memorable.
