The Hiarcs forum has been challenged!

Post by Harvey Williamson »

Some of our members will remember the Hiarcs forum used to have a Chess team (called the Hiarcs Headbangers) and we played a few correspondence matches. We have been challenged by Dragon expert Erdo. He will let us be white and the starting position is

1.e4 c5 2.Nf3 d6 3.d4 cxd4 4.Nxd4 Nf6 5.Nc3 g6 6.Be3 Bg7 7.f3

If you are interested in being in the team please reply to this message. We will have a secret chat thread to discuss our moves. Erdo is a top class player with some big hardware.

Count me me in

Post by sje »

Count me me in; my program Symbolic can lend a hand.

For the above position, Symbolic has four book moves in its library:

O-O 61.1% Nc6 37.2% a6 1.3% Bd7 0.4%

We had 1 a year or so ago but there was little interest and only 3 people actively posting moves for our team.

Really? I must have missed that.. never even noticed a post. I wonder if that was while I was off for a few months tied up with work?
