Hiarcs 12 speculation talk

Post by Inevitable »

Hello all! What kind of improvements will we see with the release of Hiarcs 12? With a new Naum and Deep Fritz 11 coming soon I am curious to know so I can have something to look forward too. 8) Thank you.

Probably I am absolutely alone on this, but I scarcely have interest in the strength issue as much any current program, including second or third line freeware, are lot stronger than me, SO for me the issue is the GUI and the training features.

Fernando,

I agree with you. I don't need another silicon monster to mop up the floor with me.

I do, however, appreciate the strong engines for analyzing various positions from my pathetic games.

Hi !

1.Hiarcs comes without GUI.
2.They are a lot of GUIs :
-Fritz-ChessBase;
-Shredder;
-ChessPartner-Lokasoft;
-Chessmaster -UbiSoft;
-Myura-DeepSjeng;
-Arena-a free one
- in March a GUI from Convekta-coming with Rybka.......
3.Why a new one ?

Bonus : for training Fritz trainer series is clearly the number one !

I like a very strong and free of bugs Hiarcs.Good for analisys !

Regards.

The same could have been asked to Convetka about the next Rybka GUI.

There's still tons of missing features, import/export functions, etc missing in the existing ones. My hope is that Convekta in time will delope a super GUI - they listen to their customers, and don't stick with "what we have is good enough." But it will take time, no doubt.

You didnt mention the GUI by Mathias Gemuh. It has some decent tournament features as well on top of low memory usage. You also did not mention winboard.

Indeed, right now, to do a proper analysis, I have to open 3 different GUIs to do the job. It would be nice to only have to open one.

For my money Arena is the best. Winboard is great. There are a
