Post by Scotia »

Hi all,
Im New to this forum. I have been using Deep Hiarcs of some time And i love it. Im going to be upgrading to the latest version for PC. Could anyone tell me if HIARCS supports DGT Chess boards.

HIARCS Chess Explorer does not support DGT boards at present.
Best wishes,

Hi Mark,

Please add another vote for DGT board support. Any chance this is on the to-do list for HCE 2.0?

Thanks,
Pete

Please add DGT support for HCE so I can dump Chessbase on my Windows computer (currently use HCE for Mac only).

+1 !!!

Mark - This would be a great Christmas gift for us Mac users!

I don't know how much longer I'm going to be able to deal with using the Fritz interface...

+1 please.

DGT is/was developing a Mac OS X version of the RabbitPlugin driver. This info page is dated 14th March 2013!!!! Still no sign of the new driver.

I have to say the delay on DGT drivers for the Mac is frustrating.

I have been asking DGT for a couple of years now, the original contact who was working on the solution for Mac has left DGT. I have made further requests/enquiries earlier this year, in the summer and a few weeks ago.
I met Albert yesterday at the classic and he said he will look into it. So I hope this gets resolved soon.

I hope to be able to work on this in early 2015.
Best wishes,
Mark

Fantastic news, thanks Mark! I do hope the seemingly never-ending problem getting Mac driver support doesn't keep you from pushing through with the windows side of the implementation...

No one enjoys having to constantly glance back at the computer screen to see what move a chess program has made when you are playing a chess game against a chess engine on a DGT chess board.
If /When DGT support is added please support the DGT XL/ 3000 Clock output as well. I use both Windows and Linux OS.

I hope to be able to work on this in early 2015.

I recently contacted DGT to ask for a status.
They said that they are still working on it, but don't expect the job done before summer.

...but I don't know which year nor decade

Good idea SFK3. This must be a low priority for them.

I'll contact them also. Perhaps more interest and/or questions on the Mac drivers will move this up their priority list?

Just wishful thinking...
