Anyone know what version this is?

It's got a '2325' metal plate so I'm guessing it's at least V6. But there
is no dash with the usual extra digit giving the version number.
It's being sold as a bare board, so buyer beware.

The bidding is frantic on this undoubtedly defective.. naked.. V6
in fact it seems there are a bunch of folks asking the seller to close the auction early.. to go around Ebay .even with dozens of bids already placed
so many that the seller felt he had to add this plea to the auction description:
"PLEASE, DO NOT SEND OFFERS TO BUY OUTRIGHT. I WILL NOT END THE AUCTION EARLY FOR ANY AMOUNT AS IT WOULD NOT BE FAIR TO OTHER BIDDERS. I HAVE RECEIVED MANY, MANY, OFFERS, UP TO $1200. BUT, IT DOES NOT MATTER, IT IS AN AUCTION AND FAIR IS FAIR.... ALSO,,THE BOOK IS INCLUDED IN SALE, HOWEVER, THERE IS NO CHANCE OF US HAVING THE POWER SOURCE OR MEN. THANK YOU, STEVE"
Utterly Disgraceful Regards

Well, one bidder is responsible for most of the bids. Whoever that is, they really enjoy the bidding process.
I asked the seller a question a couple of days ago, and then the highest offer was $500, so the offers are climbing! For the record, I didn't make an offer.
This seller may have been better off not showing the manual as it looks like it is spotted with mold. Makes me wonder how the main unit was stored, too.
Wondering regards,
Brian B

Also note that in most auctions the early repeat bidders don't end upBrian B wrote:Well, one bidder is responsible for most of the bids.

winning the auction. For machines rare and collectible you can rest
assured the snipers are waiting...
Regarding the mould on the owner's manual and therefor the questionable
condition of the machine, it (the machine) does seem to look ok. The seller comes across
as honest, IMO. The winner can expect to have to replace quite a few
bad reed switches, but that's an easy enough job.

It is well known that mold spores spread through airborne transmission and can infect anything within a very large radiusLarry wrote:Regarding the mould on the owner's manual and therefor the questionableBrian B wrote:This seller may have been better off not showing the manual as it looks like it is spotted with mold. while this V6 might look good superficially on the surface , I bet an examination inside the computer would reveal a Mother board covered in thick crusty mildew and eproms discolored a deep green
(V)arnished 6 Regards

Bidding has reached historic levels with 88 bids from 8 unique bidders
with more then a day to go ...the price is $1025(as i write)
color me skeptical but that plea by the seller to keep things honest seems to have too much information in it..it just dosent sit well with me
why mention the highest price he was offered?
perhaps to jazz up the bidding?
wouldn't surprise me if that one bidder fueling all of this activity is the seller himself
Jaded Regards

I think I submitted my last post without first reading Steve's. I also
wondered why he revealed the amount of an offer to buy it now. I'm
wondering why he is shipping to the USA only. This just shuts out
wealthy European bidders.
I'm sure if it was me, I'd go right out of my way to get hold of a
suitable power adaptor and check that it works. If it does, then tell
the world the comp works, this doubles it's value. I'm wondering if
he's pulling the old "no adaptor-can't check it" trick.
Countdown to the auction closing.

Repeating the same exact behavior over and over and expecting a different outcome is one definition of...

Perhaps but the now infamous"Bidder 6" is making Ebay history with 70+ bids on this Saitek President:Monsieur Plastique wrote:Perhaps this particular Berlin Pro has a better class of mould?

a review of his bid history reveals a breathtaking 401 bids in the last month
i imagine his Win/Bid Ratio hovers around 1/3 of 1 %
