Elite A/S on eBay

Post by vonderlasa »

There is a Fidelity Elite A/S on auction at eBay USA. It appears to have what looks like an open slot for a possible module? Does this appear intact? It does appear that the display lights up with what looks like "GC".
Any thoughts from those familiar with this computer appreciated. Thanks!

Ok, thanks, that one is showing here. It's not an Elite Auto Sensory, it's
an Avant Garde. And it's the rich dude's version of the Mach3. It all
seems in good condition. The seller is being a bit greedy with the price, IMO.

Elite A/S

Hi, Sorry I should have posted the link, but it comes right up when I search for chess computer:

http://www.ebay.com/itm/VINTAGE-ELITE-4 ... 4190c577c9

It is different item than the one several respondents commented on.

Mea culpa

the module bay(slot) is perfectly normal
several modules were released by Fidelity that will work with the EAS
This is a fairly rare EAS running at 4 Mhz,more common is 3.6 Mhz
my guess is it has the Glasgow program

Modular Regards

Some people went completely nuts .... Saw somebody who wanted 500 euro for an academy. I offered him 50 euro but he did not understand the problem. Or people who want 200 for a Mephisto III brikett. Or some want to have 200 for a fidelity 7.

They are all nuts. And we should tell the, that they are nuts.

Well put. Nuts. No other word. There was a guy selling a Mephisto Master (Milano Pro) for about 400 dollars...?? Instead I opted for a Mephisto Milano and got it for 65 euros and I think that I made a better choice. Anyway this guy asking 2.5 k $ for an Elite has lost contact with reality.
