Collector's Corner...On My Website...

Post by Steve B »

My Collection Website has been up since the Summer of 2007 and is soon to hit 500,000 views
not alot really considering how these days a video of a dog pooping on the kitchen floor can go viral in a couple of Hours with millions of views
Still..with this small milestone approaching i was surprised to see that two of the top Five most viewed computers were from CXG
even more of a surprise was that no Fidelity computer made the top five

TOP FIVE IN ORDER OF VIEWS

1. TBV IV La Regence
2.CXG Sphinx 50
3.Tasc R40
4.CXG Sphinx Limited Edition Modules
5.Mephisto Wundermachine

I'd have thought the Wundermachine would get first place honors because
you've only had it about five years, so it's per month number of views
is the highest. Just being picky

Indeed it comes as no surprise that the Sphinx was twice in the top five.

Everybody is searching for the Hall Of Records.

Especially handcrafted by Fidelity´s carpenter in the States for Fidelity´s Benelux sales boss Tom Furstenberg. This V7 is also unique from its technique.
There exists also a photo showing Karpov - Furstenberg´s friend - playing against this machine (Karpov won I think in 32 moves). Unfortunately my DVD is defective, but Tom is looking for the video.
If there came someone across for this spectacular machine I would be ready to sell it.

Looks like it is not a portable contrivance.

Agreed - truly a special design. Too bad there are so few of these beauties.

Steffen - Welcome to the forum. How do you place a value on such a unique, one of a kind chess table?
