Hello altogether

Post by steffen »

Hello altogether,

I would like to say hello to everybody. Today I got registrated here in the democratic Hiarcs forum.

Some of you might know me already. I am Steffen from Germany. I am the founder and organisator of the Klingenberg chess computer tournaments which have taken place last April and June in the 11th year now.

Thanks for this good forum, Mark.

Kind regards,
Steffen

Hi Steffen,

Welcome to the Forum. I can't believe that this is only your first time here. When is your next Klingenberg tournament. I always read the results every year, as it is a really interesting live event.

Best regards

Steve and Nick,

thanks for your warm welcome :)
Yes, I can´t understand neither why I´ve registered so late here...

The date for Klingenberg is not yet fixed. I usually fix that around X-mas time in coordination with the hotel.
You are always welcome to come over. This is only around 50 kilometres away from the Frankfurt airport. I could pick you up there :)

Frankfurt eh. I always thought Klingenberg was closer to Stuttgart. Wow you sit in the middle of Spaetzle and Spageln Land.

I might have to take you up on your offer soon. Some of the best food in Europe.

100% right, Nick. + Red Wine + beautiful frame houses and castles

Any time, promised. It would be a pleasure for me. Ismenio had also been in our house some years ago.

Yes, I know the area quite well, I have an old business friend/acquaintance who lives close to Karlsruhe little town called Linkenheim-Hochstetten. That rectangle area starting from Trier, down to Saarbruecken & Strassburg and across to Stuttgart and back up to Heidelberg really is a special area for scenery, good wine and beer and good food. It is all so close to France so it has the best of both worlds for cuisine.

You are tempting me Steffen :)

best regards

Welcome Steffen,
You are right the Klingenberg chess computer tournaments are well known and very interesting with some great videos as well. Well done on the 11 years and we all hope they will go on for many more years to come.

Thanks, Peter.
Sure, the next Klingenberg tournament is going to take place next April. The exact date will be released around Christmas time.
Everybody is welcome to participate. I think once one should do that. Wherever you are from ;)
