Hi!
I would like to know if there is a way to show opening names and ECO on [New database], live.
I'm trying to know same position name in real time. I think ScidvsMac have a feature like this.
As I go moving the pieces, the ECO and opening name are showing on top.
Can I do something like that on v1.8?
Thanks,
Diego

It's working, but not for all ECO codes.
e.g:
It doesn't identify C70: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5
http://www.365chess.com/opening.php?m=6 ... =3.5.5.6.5
Can I change the opening book to identify more codes?
Thanks,
Diego

We do not start displaying ECO codes or opening names until white's 4th move (I believe ChessBase waits until black's 4th move).
The ECO code for 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 is basically undefined since it depends on what happens next. You mentioned C60 and C70 but it is unclear which applies until more moves are played...
C60: Ruy Lopez, early deviations: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 <- this only applies when there is an early deviation from the normal lines.
C60: Ruy Lopez, Smyslov Variation: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 g6
C60: Ruy Lopez, Cozio System: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 Nge7
C70: Ruy Lopez, Norwegian Defence: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Ba4 b5 5.Bb3 Na5
C70: Ruy Lopez, Delayed Schliemann Gambit: 1.e4 e5 2.Nf3 Nc6 3.Bb5 a6 4.Ba4 f5
