In Hiarcs Chess Explorer, is there any special setup for creating a tactics database such as the one that comes with the program? How does one hide the moves? If I imported another tactics database would it work automatically?
Thanks in advance.

Re: Tactics in HCE
You can use the menu option "View \ Hide next moves" for any game in pgn format so if you import an epd file into pgn format that works quite well but not if there are scored moves in the comments before the move such as the STS 1-15 test suites. Selecting Hide next moves does not hide the comment text so the scored moves remain visible. However if you delete all text from the pgn, the key move remains and then the option works. Comments after the move are hidden as well as the key move.Ted Summers wrote:In Hiarcs Chess Explorer, is there any special setup for creating a tactics database such as the one that comes with the program?
