Yes i am also little worry about game against Raptor.

Also the first move in the opening with 1. a3 shows to play without normal opening book moves, hope to win a game by this way.

Good luck to the last rounds.

...but couldn't manage to convert the pawn advantage to a won endgame. That seemed to be the theme for Hiarcs this year: it also had a strong advantage against The Baron but couldn't convert, and pushed too hard against Raptor letting a long equal game slip away. (Fantastic game against Jonny though.)

Better luck next year!

Thanks to HIARCS Team for playing this WCCC and WCSC Tournament.
There was some exciting game of aggressive playing style HIARCS to my knowledge.
Good luck to the team for analysis of the weaknesses and strength HIARCS after this tournament.

Oh, I really want to see the whole thing now! It cut off just as the game was getting interesting.

This video is also a reminder that this is an operator championship as much as a computer championship. It looks like Jonny was doing it old-school, typing in the algebraic moves. For these blitz games, do the programs have to choose their time controls conservatively to avoid flagging, or are they able to sync automatically to the official reference digital clock?
