Collection for sale

Post by dorsetdave »

Hi
I have to dispose of a relatives collection - hopefully this is the best place to do this - or at least get some assistance!!
The collection is only small - consists of
Mephisto atlanta in original box - though box is a bit tatty
2 x Tasc r30 both running King v2.5
Tasc sb20 board
Tasc sb30 board
One set of pieces ( I assume for tasc)
Novag universal electronic chess board
Novag sapphire II 38601
DGT Electronic chess board serial no. 02454 sofware version 1.5 (full size tournament board)
Sony Vaio laptop with chessbase software loaded
Loads of connecting leads, power supplies, software & manuals etc.
Doesn't mean a lot to me - but may to you!!
I have tried looking on ebay - but no sign of Tascs and very little in the UK overall.
Apologies if I'm posting this in the wrong place
Kind regards
Dave

That's quite a collection Dave be careful they are worth a bit way out of my price range so try and get a fare idea of what they fetch (looking at passed sales) before excepting any old offer. Hopefully others on here can give you a good idea of sale prices

Thanks for that - seem incredibly expensive - especially as it was so long ago!
Do you know if they are still around that price or have they dropped due to the rise of PC based games?
Thanks again for the info - much appreciated

Wish i could help you more Dave but i am sure there are others on here who will be more knowledgable on current prices i am not a serious collector. I can say one thing some of the kit your selling are getting rare and you do not see them up for sale often if i had a Tasc r30 running King v2.5 i would never sell it.
Good Luck Dave

May I ask if that relative of yours passed away?
In that case another chess collector pal has gone, which is a pity...

a pity.
I am sorry.
The good side of dementia is that you does not perceive anymore the madness and evil of this world.
