BT2630 Test

Post by Bryan Whitby »

Obviously I have seen these BT tests but never tried them.

I'm a bit confused as it says run the test for the full 15 minutes.

I take it that you record the correct move in seconds if found within those fifteen minutes even though after the full fifteen it might not actually make that solution move?

Can anyone explain

Hi Bryan,

Yes, if the move is not found after those 15 minutes then you record for that move 900 seconds and go to the next move.

As I understand it, you take note of the time the correct move was
indicated, then wait. That must remain as the intended move
for the balance of the fifteen minutes. If it goes to another move
Ie, a "wrong" move, then you have to wait and hope it goes
back to the right move and take another note of the time. If it
stays on the wrong move then it gets a 900 second result.

Hi Bryan, it just means that for the solving time to be recorded ,the
program can't change its mind then change it back again.
It's a little known fact that chess programs are all female, and
therefore think they have a right to change their mind.
