Steve said:
they list the MCGE as a pre-order for $700
high price aside..perhaps even more overstated was the rating
they show 2400 ELO/USCF 2600
I had a 20% off coupon, so I paid about $560 shipped. A decent used Mephisto Exclusive goes for about that, and sellers are asking much more than that for classic Novag wooden computers that barely broke the 2000 Elo mark.

Regarding the strength, that's not an issue for me because I hate to admit but I'm really not very good at chess despite my love for the game. The chances of me ever hitting the point where overstated ratings become an issue are pretty slim (as in, zero). Sigh.

Absolutely - thanks!

A few questions:

1. Will Millenium publish the communications protocols?
2. Are there any plans (or even rumors) of alternative sets, such as French Knight/Lardy? (If not, can Millennium sell set of sensors for embedding them in our own chess set?)

Thanks again!

Hello Guys,

I hope u all enjoyed the games from the Chess genius Exclusive

well it was late yesterday so now i will write here

U all have seen the movie on you tube so it is up to the person itself how to judge this new computer

Here is mine experience ,
The Chessboard and chess man looks very nice ,the control unit is not bad ,but i would to see it in the wood as the Board

The Program is a "oldie" it is the same as in the Chess Genius Pro 120MHz

But on 300Mhz it make a big difference
In middle game it reach depths of 8-9-10 at those depths ,it comes with better moves as well and see the threats of the opponent
As the Chess Genius Pro 120MHz did give up the castling ,like Kf1 the Chess Genius Exclusive very often and castle at these points
Not saying it will never do it any more

It also not that each opponent is overplayed ,but the computer makes many points out off small advantage,s
It plays due the deeper search better chess as well ,so more attractive as well
It have as u could see in some games weak play ,it plays to much with 1 piece ,that means many moves with 1 piece and let development down
I did see this in a very few games
Endgame is very strong ,and reach big depths 12-14

The Hiarcs Book > well till now what i did see ,i can be short
A very good balanced Book and is different what is add in the Chess Genius Pro

It play,s even 1 f4 and that i like
Against each opponent it did run not into Killer lines as for example the R30 2.23 is full with .because it plays the newest opening moves /lines and many times the opponent is out of book when the Chess Genius Exclusive is still in Book

Strength , well as Chess Genius Pro 120Mhz is already rated on 2307 elo on active chess
I am sure this new one is at least rated 2370 elo ,when not higher
But more games and time will tell us that

I hope the people who did buy it ,have many fun with this new computer

From Millennium side, i can say ,this is not the end.....
What that means i leave it up to u guys

JeffB u can better write directly to Millennium and ask these questions

I have written directly to Millenium several times. So far, no response at all, which is very disappointing.

Sorry, but the translation is in one point totally wrong, concerning the piece recognition:

"Der Knaller ist hier die Figurenerkennung. Einfacher geht´s wirklich nicht, wenn man eine Stellung aufbauen und analysieren will."

Google translator says:
"The knockout here is the character recognition . It is not really easy to build a position and analyze it."

--> But the content is CONTRARY and means:
"The piece recognition is really great. THERE EXISTS NO EASIER WAY TO BUILD UP A POSITION AND ANALYZE IT THAN THIS..."

So buildung up a position with this piece recognition is easy-peasy ;) Just take care that the control unit is showing the right side of the board (--> OPTS --> INVERT BOARD --> "x" means from bottom to top, the "check mark" means from top to bottom --> just click the right side) etc.

Hello Guys,

Played 20 games Active chess vs the Fidelity V11 72MHz elo 2334
Chess Genius Exclusive wins with 14,5 - 5,5 points

https://www.schachcomputer.info/forum/s ... #post66593

Looking of previous Test results , i expect that it will have at least 2370 elo on active chess

New opponent is the Reflection Vancouver

Hi Hans,

Yes I saw the results. Which CM Madrid did it play. Was it the true 32 MHz one with the Gold Arm Processor?
