i think he means the Mephisto MM5 over clocked to 10 Mhz
the so called"MM10"..the "book" would be the HG550 book module
the "MM10" was never released for sale by Mephisto
The "MM10" along with the Fidelity EAG "V11" are two modified computers that are commonly seen in these "Sodom and Gomorrah" days for dedicated chess computers

Hello Steve,

No the MM X is the Rebel X Program what played on the WC 1989 in Portoroz
So it is not a 10Mhz version
On the WC Ed Schroder did play the Rebel X ore MM X with a Turbokit on 16Mhz

Hi all,

Yes it's the Rebel X program Hans refers to in the previous post. My Eprom was labelled as "MMX". Sorry for any confusion.

Hi all,
I finally got around to uploading the pictures of the MMIV/HG440 modules and MB Phantom to my flickr page. All the chess computers are still available so if you're interested please make an offer soon otherwise they'll be going up on the dreaded ebay. I also have an official Portorose 1989 16/32bit German/English instruction manual if anyone's missing one from their collection.

MB Phantom:

MMIV + HG440:

Thanks,
