Well not possible 7/22 neither 8/5 so that leaves for me only 9/9.

That took forever ! :P

Unfortunately this means that we won't have Dave C, joining us

But, as in all Democratic processes, majority rules therefore 9/9 it is. The date is set.

This means that we have 8 contestants and even number. If others want to join, then please bring a friend as a 5 Round Swiss Tournament is not really workable with an odd number of contestants.

Best regards
Nick

Yes, time to continue sparring my Brute Force against Lang machines.
I will forbid the BF to exchange queens against them...

Endgame frustration regards,
Paul

Hi Nick,

I am terribly sorry, but it appears I cannot participate on the 9th :-(.
Since last year I am following a course on saturdays, of which I can take a day off every now and then, but in the new schedule for coming season 9 september is a special day, so I cannot stay away then, have to be there...

I hope someone will fill in for me, to make the number of participants even again!

Sad regards,
Paul

Correction! Looking at the schedule I see that for Germany (and also the Netherlands) the first game is at 13:00. That must be possible, as the course is only in the morning...! So keep me on board...

Two weeks to kickoff

Time for the friendly trash talking to end
truth is i only now set up the FEPV to test it and make sure its working
didnt play any matches against any other computers
actually i would never do that..seems like cheating to me...but thats just me

anyway...now i have some major decisions to make regarding the settings:

Active or Solid Playing Style
Classic,Modern,Gambit or Blitz Book
Contempt Factor to avoid draws...
etc...etc

Image

Decisions Decisions Regards
Steve
