I would say the book is the most advanced you would get there on computer chess evaluation and chess in general.

according to my modest opinion, half of the introduced chess terms are completely new in chess theory.

the book is the product of 4 years of complete, 16-hours-per-day concentration on chess and analysing with Stockfish and Komodo.

A bit more about the book

Post by Lyudmil Tsvetkov »

this is a book, following pattern recognition.

in this way, it is possible to improve one's chess about 4 or 5 times faster
than the usual way through studying games and theory, as it is much easier
and less time-consuming to learn 1000 patterns than browse through and
remember 10 000 games or test/opening positions.

pattern recognition, including learning through pattern recognition,
is the future of chess.

in case the book text is a bit advanced, there are lots of diagrams accompanying each and every
chess term/pattern, so even weaker players can learn quite a lot by just looking at the diagrams
and remembering which patterns are good and which to be avoided.

page layout can be improved. Title is hidden on page.
Better to put page on top left, followed by the image, then the text.
Keep information predictable and GL.

Currently, the option for purchasing 'The Secret of Chess' from my site via Paypal is disabled, and I will update the site in a while.

So that the only option now is Amazon(paperbacks and ebooks):
https://www.amazon.com/Secret-Chess-Lyu ... 8&qid=&sr=

I must say, that I am more or less happy with Amazon, in general they are doing what they say.
On the other hand, PayPal proved to be simply crooks.

3 months on, I have to ascertain there is not much feedback/interest in my book. I see 3 possible causes for this:

1.) The book is bad
2.) People can't understand it
3.) The book is written in high style/high knowledge style, different from traditional conceptions, and most people prefer low knowledge/routine instead of high knowledge

For myself, I am not entirely clear what the main cause is.

What do you think?

It seems you spam your messages to all chess forums. Even chess programmers do not like your ideas and comments. Well, I suppose you will write your ideas at hiarcs forum. :D

That is not spamming.

I posted once about 'The Secret of Chess' at the beginning of August, and, now, 3 months later, I just update some info and ask your opinion.

As said, the quality of the book is much higher, and the knowledge contained within much more advanced than the bit of ad I am doing, but you will never understand that.

Besides, the book is beforle all a chess book/chess knowledge book, and only after that a chess programming book.

All ideas are valid chess knowledge ideas, original at that, but it seems, too many people like routine, it is easier like that and does not require too much effort, does it?

First review

Post by Lyudmil Tsvetkov »

I am so happy, the first review for 'The Secret of Chess' has appeared,
and by none other than Australian GM and book reviewer David Smerdon:
http://davidsmerdon.com/?p=1970

Thank you, David!

The review is also available on the chess.com blog of the grandmaster:

Best sellers

Look at number 5: https://www.amazon.com/Chess-Board-Game ... &node=4406

Chessbase reprinted David Smerdon's review, and some people have hurried to buy the book, true, for each ebook purchase, I am getting just a bit more than 2 dollars.

Here another review, very short: https://www.welshccf.org.uk/article/325
by Russell Sherwood of the Welsh Corresponcence Chess Federation(thanks Russell).

It is for the first time someone puts me on the Fringe, I am very happy.
'The Secret of Chess' convincingly beats ARB and Berliner, on equal terms with Shashin.
