Hi everyone,

I just got Hiarcs and have a question on the analysis history and statistics display. In the display I will sometimes see something like (depth 32, 1/44). I know that Hiarcs is analyzing 16 moves ahead for each player but I don't understand the 1/44. What does this mean?

Thanks for your assistance,

Jim

Hi Jim,

I’d imagine it’s currently analysing move 1 of a possible 44 moves, move 1 being its current best move found so far in the previous 31 plys. That’s how most of the old dedicated machines worked.

Cheers,

Al.
