Hi all,

OK, the 7 books are now there:

However when I tried to download the Gambit book, it closed my USB connection to the Chees Genius Exclusive and the laptop would no longer recognise the USB connection.

I have to got out now, will try again later.

Cheers,

Al.

Hi all,

I have found out that the 7 new books have been generated from the HIARCS book and meant for training against specific openings such as Gambit, Sicilian etc. What would have been nice is if we could have selected the type of opening from a menu on the Clock unit, but that's probably asking too much :)

Filtered HIARCS Book Regards
Ray

Are you able to actually download the other 6 books at this time or just the Gambit Book?

Exploratory Regards

Hi Steve,

I only downloaded the Gambit book, it took over 10 mins. The first step is a delete, so we can only have 1 book at a time as Hans said.

I only put a ? by the Gambit Book as the file doesn’t list the ECO codes in this book file.

Cheers,

Hi ,
All worked ok for me.No problems at all.
Agree ,would be nice to select individual openings rather than play from a block.

OK Thanks Al
I take it that all 7 books are now available for download from their server
my guess is most users will download the Gambit book and then ignore the other books.. given that we are allowed only one user book at a time

Depends what you want rom do with the machine.
I can imagine that people who like to play themselves against it, will use the user books for opening matches against the machine.

Some like to play open openings, others closed. I guess each person has different repertoire and likes to download his favorite openings.
What seems like a fairy tale today may be reality tomorrow.
Here we have a fairy tale of the day after tomorrow....
